Thompson River 0879

Lyman Byxby etching titled Thompson River

Thompson River 0879

$45

A Lyman Byxbe Etching of the Thompson River. There are leafless birch trees in the foreground with the river behind them and tree covered hillsides in the background. The water is cascading over rocks, which you can see clearly.

This etching was also titled Aspens and listed as #187 3c in the Crump book. It was printed about 1936.

This etching has been framed and matted in the past; you can see the toning in the area not covered by the mat. There are two discolored areas at the bottom, which can be covered by a mat. The rubbed discolored area to the right will show, even after matting, but is the same color as the etching in that area and should not be especially noticeable.
